Described as the rarest expression from Old Pulteney, the Polaris is the the oldest whisky ever released. The single malt was bottled at 43.6% ABV after 40 years in American oak and finished for seven years in a single first-fill Spanish oak butt. The 47-year-old Old Pulteney is presented in a handblown, blue 1.5-litre glass bottle created by Brodie Nairn of Glasstorm and encased in a Caithness Slate display box. The lot, which also includes a 100ml sample bottle, is estimated to go for £26,000-£40,000 (US$34,900-US$53,700).

Laphroaig Capsule
Combining whiskies distilled in 1980 and 1981, the Laphroaig Capsule was aged for 40 years: 26 years in Oloroso Sherry-seasoned hogsheads and ex-Bourbon American oak hogsheads, before being vatted together in hogsheads until June 2022. The whisky is presented in a 1.5-litre handblown Glencairn crystal capsule-shaped two-piece bottle. The lot is estimated to sell for £40,000-£80,000 (US$53,700-US$107,350).
